BEDA #4

There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

These are some of my favourite lyrics in the world. I'm really not one to get all DEEP about lyrics because I went through that phase when I was 15, you know when you listen to My Chemical Romance and go on about how the lyrics match your sad, pathetic existence perfectly. But the lyrics to The Circle of Life really do jump out at me. The reason for this is that I'm absolutely fanatical about wanting to see EVERYTHING. One of my biggest fears is that I won't be able to see everywhere and everything I want to see, from the Northern Lights to whales swimming in the wild to Mount Everest. I just want to experience each thing in the world that there is to experience. The Circle of Life lyrics are basically all about this, and about how the world is basically so huge, with so much on it. I love the idea of it being a circle because (and I'm not just saying this because I'm a big fan of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry") but a circle has no beginning and no end. I think this is lovely because it always makes me think about how you know when you're really good friends with someone and you say that you can't remember what life was like before them and you can't imagine it without them; that's like a circle because you can't see where the beginning was or where the end will be. I think it's good to think of life as a circle because as far as I'm concerned, same as how you can't SENSE what you felt before you were born, you won't be able to sense after you die. So you've got to just do everything while you can. You have to feel every emotion there is; from despair to love. And at some point we find our place and realise what it is we want to do, and then we travel the circle, seeing and finding whatever possible as we go. That's what the song means to me.

That's amazing, and not only because Lion King is my favorite movie of all time.
