BEDA #3

One of my favourite things ever is that one song can triggers SO many memories. You know how like when you link a song to a certain time or event? And every time you hear that song everything comes flooding back to you. Here are some of mine:

Larger Than Life, Backstreet Boys - Holiday to Texas in 2000 because that's the song that was playing during the Shamu show at the Sealift Centre in San Antonio.

I Write Sins Not Tragedies, Panic! At The Disco - English Extension Trip in 2007 because that was the song that EVERYONE was listening to back then and we had Panic!'s album on repeat all week.

Fat Lip, Sum 41 - ICT lessons 2008 because me and Joe were like obsessed with Sum 41 and I made it my aim to learn every single word to it including the rap bit at the end, which I did and then I used to sing it all the time to Joe just to prove that I could.

Everytime, Britney Spears - When me and Megg went to see her at Wembley in 2003 because she sat at the piano and seemingly started playing it and then she suddenly flew into the air on a harness and the piano carried on playing itself and me and Megg were majorly disappointed to find that Britney had no musical talent after all.

Mambo Number 5 - Year 6 Leaver's Disco in 2003 because me and my old best friend mum was called Jessica and when the part of the song that says "Jessica" came on my friend was like "THAT'S MY MUM'S NAME!!!" and we were both really excited by this.

Super Trouper, Abba - Greece 2009 because me and some of my amazing friends and Drama teachers made up a dance routine to it on the beach (':

Dawson's Geek, Busted - Primary school assemblies because when we were in year 6 we each got a turn to pick the song that played for a week in assembly and I picked that one.

Middle Eastern Holiday, Hard-Fi - Turkey 2006 because I was so psyched to be going to the Middle East that I listened to this song the whole way there.

Limassol, Maximo Park - October 2006 because we went to see them and it was our first standing gig and me and Sarah made up an awesome dance to this song.

Champagne Supernova, Oasis - Ski trip 2008 because I was listening to that album on repeat all the way home and every time I got to that song I woke up. I have no idea why.

New Shoes, Paolo Nutini - Christmas 2009 because on the last day of term some boys in the year above who had a band did a concert in the common room and they played that and everyone danced and at that moment I felt elated because I had amazing friends and I loved my school.

Way Back Into Love, Music and Lyrics - Ski trip 2008 because I met Pete and I watched this film for the first time and I loved it and it became my favourite film.

Stuck In America, Sugarcult - 2007 because a friend of mine called Karl got me into this band and this was the first song of theirs he sent me and me and Karl were really good friends back then and listening to that makes me miss him.

I Wish I Was A Girl, Violent Delight - 2006 because Alex sent me this song and we listened to it all the time because back then it seemed so hilarious (':

Albuquerque, Weird Al Yankovic - Camping 2006 with Eleanor because we all listened to this every night and sang it in the gazebo

My Love, Westlife - 2001 because me and Lucy used to spend every weekend at eachothers' houses and when we stayed at hers we used to sing this on her karaoke machine in her conservatory and we used to make up dance routines and put on concerts for her mum.

Skatman - Italy 2008 because this was the anthem for that trip.

Low, T-Pain - Italy 2008 as well because the whole group made up a dance together for this song and performed it in a dance off to another school at the last night disco.

Hey There Delilah, Plain White Ts - It reminds me of Eliot because this was our song for a long time and he changed the lyrics so it was about me xD

Thunder, Boys Like Girls - It reminds me of Joe because it's our song (:

Tell me yours? x
